FACADE is a kinetic, interactive sculpture made of 75 aluminum plaques which, in sequence, rotate 180º.

The effect of the sequence occurs in function of the actions of the pedestrians on the street.
As in the game of Dominos, the passing of the interactor on one of the extremities of the installation starts up a movement mechanism; the plaques gyrate, one at a time until they are all rotating.
The action of the plaques rotating in sequence, besides suggesting the idea that one effect is the cause of the other, produces for the one who is passing a series of kinetic optic happenings like: de-materialization of architecture; transformation of the building into the surrounding landscape; other variations caused by the transformation of light and the climate; transmition of information.
O efeito em cadeia ocorre em função das ações de pedestres na rua.
Como na brincadeira com dominós, a passagem de um interator por uma das extremidades da instalação aciona um mecanismo de movimento; as placas giram, uma a uma até que todas sejam rotacionadas.
A ação das placas rotacionando em cadeia, além de sugerir a idéia de um efeito ser a causa de outro, produz para o transeunte, uma série de acontecimentos óticos cinéticos semelhantes a: desmaterialização da arquitetura; transformação do prédio na paisagem do entorno; outras variações causadas pela transformação da luz e do clima; transmissão de informação.
